Menter Iaith RCT operates according to a community development pattern. A strategic emphasis is placed on research, dialogue and initiating developments in line with the aspirations and ideas of communities in order to ensure a holistic and wide-ranging provision.
Menter Iaith Rhondda Cynon Taf organise, promote and support Welsh activities and events suitable for families. We often work with Mudiad Meithrin, Cymraeg for kids and Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Early Years and Family Support Service to ensure Welsh language provision across the county.
Menter Iaith RCT run 7 afterschool clubs across the county (Clwb Carco) The purpose of the clubs is to provide Welsh language play opportunities and childcare. We organise 3 play-schemes, these are childcare and play clubs during the holidays.
We work in partnership with the County council and the Urdd in order to co-ordinate, engage and ensure full input into activities for young people across the county. We aim to increase the provision of Welsh language activities for young people and increase their Welsh language awareness.
