The sun shone down on Ynysangharad Park, Pontypridd on Friday 5th July making it a perfect day for the Teddy Bears Picnic 2013. This year’s theme was ‘Celebrating 100 years of Welsh animation’, giving us at Menter Iaith an excellent opportunity to draw attention to one of Wales’ most popular Welsh characters ‘Sali Mali’! Everybody enjoyed visiting the Welsh language tent throughout the day. Some children had fun decorating cakes in Sali Mali’s café , while others were happy to make a wind sock for the garden. Jac y Jwc kept all Rhondda Cynon Taff’s budding gardeners company at the gardening play tub. Heini performed again this year while children danced and sang along! It turned out to be a very successful day! We would like to thank Mudiad Meithrin and the Welsh for Adults centre for their cooperation and valuable contribution on the day. Thank you very much!
